Pentagon Stainless Steel Fire Pit

Five flat panels, a flame design cut into every one, and a cooking surface that drops right on top when supper is happening outside.

It stands about 17 inches high and measures 28.3 inches across. The top grill plate gives you a full cooking surface with a round centre opening for a pot, a kettle, or a set of skewers, plus handles at every side so you can lift it clear to feed the fire. Take it off and you are back to a straight fire pit for the evening. The panels slot together in a couple of minutes with no tools and break down just as fast, so it stores flat over winter and loads easy for a weekend at the lake.

Every panel is cut from 12-gauge stainless steel, which is 3mm thick. Most fire pits sold online come in 14-gauge or thinner. We finish it in high-temperature black powder coat, a coating built to take a real fire instead of peeling off the way ordinary paint does.

The usual fire pit is painted mild steel. The paint burns off around the fire box in the first season, rust starts at those bare edges, and a couple of winters later the sides are pitted. This one is 12-gauge stainless under a high-temp black powder coat, so the finish is made for heat and the steel underneath does not rust out the way mild steel does.
